What a difference a couple years makes!

Here's the front garden when we bought the house in June of 2012. Big, ugly, goofy evergreen with no top that completely blocked my view of the everything--plus it was encroaching on the path to the door.


That came out pretty quickly, but we were left with a stump and a giant section of ivy.


Last year we pulled out the ivy and moved some hostas from the old place and added some lavender.

But what a difference a year makes! The tiny lavender is now enormous (and a couple of them were only a buck in the clearance section of Lowes!)
